This page features two poster designs exploring different visual styles and tools. The first, created in Illustrator, uses hand-drawn type arranged into a unified shape to reflect the energetic, experimental tone of a spoken word and poetry festival. The second, built in Photoshop, is a photo-montage that juxtaposes texture, portraiture, and silhouette to make a visual statement on the African continent and its people.
Both pieces were created as standalone design exercises to push my skills in composition, typographic form, and emotional tone.
